Holiday Club
Ladybird Children's Nursery has three holiday club's running in 2026. The first one is based in Archibald First School Archibald Street, Gosforth, Newcastle NE3 1EB, the second one at Ladybird Children's Nursery - Scotswood, Sanderson Street, Newcastle NE4 7NQ, our third club is running at Ladybird Children's Nursery - Blyth, Briardale House, Briardale Road, Blyth, Northumberland, NE24 5AN.
Activities Summary – What to Expect
Creativity & Imagination
Children can explore a wide range of creative activities including arts, crafts, design projects, role play and imaginative games. Every session is designed to spark ideas, build confidence and let children express themselves in different ways.
Sports & Active Play
From team games and mini tournaments to fun challenges and outdoor activities, children are encouraged to stay active, develop skills and enjoy being part of a team in a positive, inclusive environment.
Build and Create
Using construction materials, problem-solving tasks and hands-on challenges, children can design, build and test their own ideas while developing teamwork, resilience and critical thinking skills.
Baking & Food Fun
Children can get hands-on with simple, child-friendly food activities including baking, decorating, cooking and creating. These sessions are designed to be fun, engaging and educational, helping children build confidence, follow instructions and enjoy trying new tastes and textures in a safe environment.
Performance & Role Play
Children can take part in drama games, music, dance and storytelling activities that encourage confidence, self-expression and creativity in a fun and supportive setting.
Outdoor Exploration
Fresh air and active play are a key part of the day, with space for group games, exploration, challenges and free-flow outdoor activities that keep children engaged and energised.
Friendship & Free Choice
Alongside structured activities, children have time to relax, socialise and choose what they want to do. This helps build independence, friendships and confidence in a calm and supportive atmosphere.
Special Events & Themed Days
Throughout the holidays, children enjoy exciting, themed days, team challenges and whole-group activities that bring everyone together for memorable shared experiences.
A Safe, Screen-Free Environment
At Ladybird Holiday Club, we create a positive, screen-free environment where children can fully engage in play, imagination and real-world experiences with friends and supportive staff.
Outings in the Local Community
We regularly make use of local parks, facilities and community spaces to extend children’s experiences beyond the club. These outings are fully supervised and risk-assessed, offering safe, exciting opportunities to explore, learn and build confidence in the wider world.
